Blood Bonds 
This was NOT easy.
So much bad and nowhere near enough good in any of these categories.
Best Set, had to go with Gran’s house. It was cool how nature was reclaiming it under MA’s influence, and it was creepy seeing this house that has been such a touchstone in the series and for Sookie transformed into something so forboding.
Best special effects – well there wasn’t much to work with here was there.
Worst special effects – That was the hardest. Godric’s flames of FAIL were just awful, closely tied with Sookie’s glowy hands. In the end I hate to vote for Eric flying because I SO wanted to see that and I SO knew it was going to suck when they did it….and it sucked beyond my wildest expectations. Super!Eric FAIL.
Let’s hope next season they have some more money in the CGI budget.
Worst set…where to start. French restaurant because really, it was so bad (and I just hate that scene…shoot me). Eric’s basement could have gone in here too (or in the previous category LOL).

LMAO!!! Worst special effects?! ALL OF THEM! Love the show, but seriously, they really need to amp up the effects, ya think? Anywho, I voted the glowing hands. Even a non-techie like me, could spot bad photoshopping! LMAO! Gawd, I can’t wait till tomorrows nominees! Wwwwwwwwwhhhhhhhhheeeeeeeeeee, I’m having a f#ckawesome time with this. *smoochies*
The sets they made for the Dallas plot were carefully and very well design (Godrick’s house also could be a good choice here). I really like them all. But definitely the worst was the French restaurant (Oh my… it looks like an extension of Bill’s hideous house with a lil bit more of lighting).
About the worst special effect, wow… I just can’t decide which one is the worst because ALL were so bad and so cheap they gave the impression that there wasn’t enough budget to make any. I wish I could choose all
the above. Another good example for them could be the thick bloody tears, and in fact, in most of the blood scenes (with a few exceptions) blood didn’t looks like blood at all. It really looks like an extra thick raspberry syrup…
Glow hands, then swimming in pee for me. I must be the only person on the planet who thought the Godric flaming up effect was cool!
Had to vote for the day room as best set, it did speak of a vamp with way too much cash and time on her hands.
Oh how i love my Eric, but the flying…a complete and utter failure. This was a good poll, filled with lots of difficult choices. I think we can all agree that TB pretty much needs to consult with the special effects team over at BSG, you know, in order to get a basic clue about what special effects actually Are.
The worst FX were so hard, cause they wer all pretty terrible. I think Maryann’s clws could have been added to that- man hands.
the fly? lol how is that special effects? i think the godric dying and flying wasn’t too bad. i’m not sure how big a budget tb has but believe me watch doctor who and that is some awful special effects.

Dear Lord…glowy hands?! WTF? Is this the best we could come up with? Did I spend 3 hrs on line at Comicon to see the True Blood panel for THIS? Glowy frakkin’ hands? I’m STILL outraged. Don’t even get me started on the meat tree and ostrich egg. Alan Ball should go to special hell (you’ll love that ref if you loved Serenity) for coming up with that crap. At this rate I don’t even know what I’m watching. Was it supposed to be scary or amuzing? I’m not buying in anymore Mr. Ball and that AIN’T a good thing!
